OUR MISSION
Our mission is to invite and guide those living in Richmond Hill and Markham area to make Jesus their highest priority & to learn how to "be with Him" (Mark 3:14). We are eager to develop deep discipleship and reclaim Christian hospitality for growth in His Gospel (2 Peter 1:9). We believe this deeper discipleship can best be done in a confessional church and partnering with such a denomination. This will involve maturing disciples and raising up elders, deacons, pastors & church planters to be able to birth another similar church (Titus 1:5) after growing past a size where leaders can give account for & shepherd all church members (Hebrews 13:17).
OUR PLANTER
Stephen and Serina Hsu moved to Toronto with their four children in 2020, after Stephen served the Lord as a trial lawyer for 20 years in Chicago where he grew up.
They served in suburban church plants before Serina prayed for Stephen to take greater risks by selling the firm / home to pastor an urban multiethnic church plant on Chicago’s south side, where he was ordained as elder. After graduating from the Orchard Network’s 2 year pastoral training with Colin Smith (Open the Bible), Stephen enjoyed completing his MA at Regent College in Vancouver and is currently training at the University of Toronto’s Wycliffe College Reformed House of Studies to transfer his ordination to the PCA. Recently, he served as mission pastor of a Chinese-Canadian church in Richmond Hill.

OUR PARTNERSHIP
Our primary partner in this project is our sending church, Christ Church Toronto. Christ Church Toronto was birthed out of Grace Toronto Church in 2017 with a vision to regularly plant churches throughout Canada and Toronto. Christ Church Toronto is partnering with this project, not only financially but also by sending members to join this mission.
Christ Church Toronto is under the Mission to North America, the church planting agency of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Our oversight will also come through the MNA committee of the Eastern Canada Presbytery. Christ Church Toronto is partnered with Redeemer New York’s City to City Network
OUR PLAN
A cross-cultural church with a historic worship service and a contemporary cafe practicing Christian hospitality. Located in the most densely populated Chinese area in North America. Though this might naturally attract a crowd, our goal is to grow disciples (& children) who love one another with such unity that it leads our neighborhood of Richmond Hill/Markham to know Jesus (John 13:34-35). This will be our strategy from day one.
